  • Today’s job market in the DMV region: in-demand roles, industries that are hiring and what employers look for.

  • Working with staffing and workforce partners: how veterans and military spouses can find temporary, contract and permanent positions.

  • Manpower’s veteran programs: including the Academy of Advanced Manufacturing, a paid, 12-week training program with Rockwell Automation that prepares veterans for high-tech manufacturing careers.

  • Interview and resume readiness: practical steps for veterans returning to work or changing careers.

“We are grateful that Ms. Crowder will share her time and expertise with our veterans and their families,” said Alvin Dalmida, Secretary of VIVA. “Building strong careers after service is one of the most important ways we can honor those who have served, and we look forward to welcoming her on the new date.”
