About VIVA

The Virgin Islands Veterans Association (VIVA) is committed to recognizing the service and sacrifice of all individuals who have served, with particular focus on veterans residing in the U.S. Virgin Islands and throughout the diaspora while reinforcing the vitality of the communities in which they reside. We maintain that those who have served our nation merit acknowledgment, assistance, and access to a robust community that acknowledges their accomplishments. By means of advocacy, camaraderie, and substantive participation, VIVA establishes mechanisms for veterans to establish connections with their peers and with the wider community.

VIVA delivers extensive assistance through resource guidance, commemorative events, and continuous community service programs. Our initiatives are grounded in respect and regional pride, guaranteeing that all veterans experience recognition and care. Whether through facilitating veteran access to vital services, coordinating memorial observances, or cultivating bonds among service members, VIVA functions as a steadfast source of assistance and communal solidarity for the Virgin Islands veteran population.

ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

The organization serves as a bridge among veterans, families, government agencies, veteran service organizations, faith-based partners, housing providers, workforce partners, and public-sector stakeholders.
